Executing tasks or modifying tasks (changing owner, renaming an app) in the Qlik Sense Management Console and refreshing the page does not update the correct task status. Issue affects Content Admin and Deployment Admin roles.
The behaviour began after an upgrade of Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows.
This issue can be mitigated beginning with August 2021 by enabling the QMCCachingSupport Security Rule.
Enable QmcTaskTableCacheDisabled.
To do so:
Upgrade to the latest Service Release and disable the caching functionality:
To do so:
NOTE: Make sure to use lower case when setting values to true or false as capabilities.json file is case sensitive.
Should the issue persist after applying the workaround/fix, contact Qlik Support.
Hello @BuTbka and @shanemichelon !
As this issue can have a number of root causes and is actively being investigated, Qlik would appreciate a support ticket from you to help investigate the issue with you.
All the best,
Sonja
@BuTbka I have tested with DeploymentAdmin user role and it works fine. Other roles don't have access to Tasks by default.
I have just installed the latest patch SR4 (which came out on 27.10.) and reverted hot fix from this topic. Now refresh button refreshes status of tasks and also orange highlighting works.
But it has one other bug - sometimes it highlights orange, I click it and there is nothing new regarding task status.
Well I was to quick - refresh button was not quite fixed with SR4. 1 hour ago this task was Finished, but refreshing of the page does not show this.
Hello @Sonja_Bauernfeind,
Would it be enough to apply these settings only on the central node, or should they be applied on all nodes?
Also, does this fix require a reboot of any services?
Thanks & regards,
Ana
Hello @anaesteves
It would need to be applied on all nodes, yes. A restart of the services is recommended.
But note that if this does not resolve your issue, we would recommend logging a ticket with Support to investigate this further.
All the best,
Sonja
Hi @Sonja_Bauernfeind ,
my environment is on august 2021 and it happened to my environment, is it need to upgrade to november 2021 or apply this config?
Thanks
Marco
@marcohadiyanto I have the same environment which fixed from the above configuration. Try a piece of luck, If not worked undo the changes. And then raise the Qlik ticket.
yes, It's recommended in all nodes. But at least scheduler node is needed.
