Problem DescriptionIn Studio, when running a Talend Big Data Job from Windows, the following exceptions might be thrown:
java.io.IOException: Could not locate executable null\bin\winutils.exe in the Hadoop binaries

or

java.io.FileNotFoundException: The hadoop home directory (hadoop.home.dir) doesn't contain the required winutils.exe binary

Solution or Workaround

The How to repair the missing winutils.exe error in the Big Data Jobs section of the Talend Open Studio for Data Integration Getting Started Guide provides a configuration for Talend Studio as a solution at the Job level.

 

To create a single configuration for all Jobs within Talend Studio, scroll down in the Help section above to the Adding a specific JVM argument section, and look for the Note.
