@Michael_Tarallo

Which versions of Qlik Sense will this apply to and when? In particular, is this just in SaaS or all versions of QS? I don't know what the SaaS hub looks like now but the hub in the video isn't even remotely similar to what I'm seeing today, and it's not just the sidebar, pretty much every button and terminology is different...

Thanks!

Hi - These changes to the Hub only apply to the Qlik Sense SaaS version.
If you can get access to the Qlik Sense SaaS version its definitely worth a look.

@SimonK Thanks for clarifying.

I realize that many new things in Qlik Sense are only coming to SaaS, but it would be very helpful to those of us who are not SaaS customers if SaaS-only content could be labeled as such in a clear manner.  This includes both posts like this one by @Michael_Tarallo  , this one by @Katie_Davis , and other posts as applicable. It's confusing and sometimes frustrating to read through a post or watch a video that has nothing to do with the Qlik product I use without this being mentioned in advance (or at all), and I'm sure you guys are getting tired of having to answer the ensuing "Is this SaaS only?" posts like this one.

Agree with Or, typical trend of Qlik lately is that "Sense" = SaaS.
Like with QlikView when Qlik Sense appeared, now Sense on prem is loosing attention as Qlik is focusing on SaaS.

Thanks for the feedback.  We have updated this post to make it clearer.

With regards to how we are innovating and releasing capabilities.  As described this Jan 2021 post,  we went to continuous release cadence for SaaS.  So new capabilities will be released without delay into SaaS and they are communicated at the time of release.  For Qlik Sense Client-Managed we release 4 times a year.  Since Client-Managed capabilities come all at once, we will communicate everything included in a particular release together.

So when we announce a new capability it will be in SaaS and then would appear in a subsequent Client-Managed release.  It is important to note some capabilities added to SaaS will not translate into Client-Managed because they have different architectures.  Changes to the Qlik Cloud Hub is a great example. Following the quarterly releases of Client-Managed is the best way to be clear on what is being added to Client-Managed.

@Josh_Good Thank you for the title correction and for clearing that up. As long as it is clear in a post whether or not it applies to both versions, you won't get any complaints from me. I'm aware of both the focus on SaaS and the release cadence. My issue here (and with other past posts such as the one highlighted in my previous comment) was just with the fact that there was no way to tell whether this would eventually apply to both versions or not, which I am glad to say is now clear in this post's title (and hopefully in future posts to come). I don't even need it in the title - if the posts are tagged as SaaS only using tags or identified in any other manner, that's good enough for me.

Thank you so much on the what's upcoming summary. And what really impress me is we Qlik now provide alternative video platform except Youtube! It's quite friendly to China region where we can not access Youtube. 👏
