Qlik announces the winners of the Qlik and C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group Academic Program Datathon!

This year the Qlik Academic Program hosted its first Datathon for students around the globe to leverage Qlik analytics software and public data to build solutions to help solve some of the issues at the heart of our current climate crisis in multiple geographies.

We received a large number of submissions from universities around the globe – more than expected – which made the judging process very difficult! We are overwhelmed by the response and are grateful for all students who participated, completing their submissions while also completing their semesters remotely. The dedication required to do so is truly inspirational, and Qlik and C40 Cities have identified real-world value and exciting ideas in every submission.

Our 5 winners include:

  • Challenge 1 -  Nam-Mai Tran: Team Tran Nam Mai from Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, France
  • Challenge 2 - Pauline Guillet: Team DataGO from Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France
  • Challenge 3 - Simon Adda: Team SimonAdda_Micro from ESILV (l'Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Léonard de Vinci), France
  • Challenge 4 - Sri Teja Makam and Vinay Kumar Reddy Kandula: Team Young Hustlers from Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, India
  • Challenge 5 - Ying Xue Ng: Team NYX from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
