QABDI Snowflake Computing

Hi Community,

I have a customer who is using Snowflake and want to integrate it with Qlik Sense. Is it possible to use the QABDI to connect directly to Snowflake Data Lake without using QVDs and in-memory engine?

Thank you for your help!

Regards

Re: QABDI Snowflake Computing

Hello,

Go to see this page: https://docs.snowflake.net/manuals/user-guide/admin-security-privatelink.html

But I think  it should not be possible with Snowflake (it's closed).

cordially.

Re: QABDI Snowflake Computing

Hi

Currently as of the April 2019 release the only source QABDI supports are parquet files, more sources are planned

Thanks

Re: QABDI Snowflake Computing

Currently QABDI needs to consume parquet files which need to be in a standard folder structure. From SnowFlakes documentation, it doesn't look like you can arrange the parquet files in a directory schema, or connect to them as regular files through mounting it as a directory to the QABDI server.

What you could do is utilize Amazon S3 as your data storage and have both Snowflake and QABDI connect to it. However, I am not sure if there will be any file conflicts in doing so.
