SSH into Ubuntu session

How can i SSH (Putty) into the linux (indexer) session? Think this is a lack of Kubernetes knowledge. When Putty is possible than SCP should also be possible. I would like to upload a large Parquet file from my machine to ABDI for testing purposes.

Re: SSH into Ubuntu session

Hi there,

If you want to "SSH" into a pod, what you will need to use is the "kubectl exec" command, but I guess you already know that as you used the indexing scripts inside the pods.

If you want to copy a file from your computer to a pod, there is a "kubectl cp" command.

Best regards,

Thiebaud

Re: SSH into Ubuntu session

I know these commands, you are right. But now I go to the Azure portal and start a terminal. I would like to do it from my PC with Putty, is this also possible?

Re: SSH into Ubuntu session

Well you should probably install kubectl directly on your computer, and configure it to talk to your Azure K8S cluster
