Remove accolades {} using text functions

Hi,

I want to use the text functions to remove accolades from a string.
Because of the application automation syntax that uses accolades, this always fails and is not recognized.
How do I avoid this?

Example:

This becomes:

This formula is not recognized and gives this as output:

Same is happening if I try to use regex parse.

I've logged a support ticket and this is a product limitation.

Qlik Support answer:
"R&D mentioned that this is a current product limitation our formula parser can't process {} within strings.
The general workaround for this would be to use the custom code block.
We will also most likely add this limitation to our user guide for QAA."

The workaround with the custom code block works, but is of course an extra step.
I've created this idea to add {} as characters that work in text functions.
