Hi,
I'd like to know where is to be located the DMG Linux machine to setup a cloud application connection (ex. Shopify, Salesforce).
Is a public IP address needed for that machine?
Please let me know.
Many thanks for your time in advance.
Best Regards
Hi, Qlik Cloud Data Movement gateway VM does not require a public IP address. After installing the Data Movement gateway, configuring it in the cloud and starting, the gateway establishes the connection to Qlik Cloud. This is an outbound connection from your network (not inbound from Qlik Cloud).
Port HTTPS/TCP-443 should be opened for outbound communication to your tenant (<tenant-id>.<region>.qlikcloud.com) .
For database sources where the gateway is handling log-based CDC, it is recommended to situate the gateway close to the data source.
For SaaS sources, this is not a requirement. You can either share the same gateway you are using for database replication (if you have one deployed) or deploy close to your target / in your cloud infrastructure.
Hope this helps!
