Unable to Generate script in Qlik compose Project

Hello Team ,

We cloned Qlik compose project which is currently running in Sql  ,as is created for Synapse just change the target connection and pointing to Synapse.

We are unable to generate scripts  for some of the sources in data vault. It is giving below issue :-

SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,Cannot open database "dev-pdi-datamart" requested by the login. The login failed.<p>Login failed for user 'PRXL_COMPOSE'.

As per the above error it seems it is still pointing to SQL db only .But in connection we changed the server and point to Synapse db

Can you please help.

Thanks,
Shreeya Jain

Sue - before switching to Snyapse , please blank out any of the sql server connection information. Then you should be able to point to your synapse env.

Also please note when you switch like that, you lose the default table creation modifiers (under Project settings) for synapse (CCI v CI and hash distribution etc. )

I recommend creating a blank Synapse project and copy/ paste those modifier settings from into the project you are migrating.

Hope this helps.

@shreeya_jain We worked on this issue on a support case and resolved the issue by manually updating the project SQLite file to point to the synapse database.

I  recommended the same suggestion that @TimGarrod suggested to you in the previous post.

The other option we discussed was to create a brand new project with the Synapse database connection and then import entities and mappings from the SQL Server project from the Model panel. If you would like us to walk you thru the steps, please open a case with support and the team should be able to help you with that.

Thanks,

Nanda
