qlik web connectors - mailbox imap connector

hello,

i tried to connect to my gmail by qlik mailbox imap connector and failed,

what's is the reason and how can i fix it?

Hi,

We have seen issues like this before, although I am not sure with that exact error message.

This may be a case of google protecting unauthorised access to the account - the following are some steps we have used before to fix this.

Important - in the above links it's important that you replace the /3/ with the number for the gmail account you are working with - you can see this in the URL when you are just in the normal gmail interface.

Have you enabled IMAP access in Gmail?

 

Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP -> IMAP Access -> Enable IMAP

 

If not you will need to do that and then possibly repeat the steps from my previous post.

Server
Port
Use SSL

OK - I don't have many more suggestions unfortunately.

  • If you are running Antivirus software, it's possible that could be doing something here.
  • If you are able to try a different network (e.g. if you are on a VPN, try it without) that might be worth trying.

Otherwise my only advice is to carefully repeat the steps in the top, making sure that you are doing it for the correct google account.
