It’s time! In August we announced Qlik Sense Cloud Business will transition to Qlik Sense Business. Now, Qlik Sense Cloud users can begin to migrate content and users to Qlik Sense Business with a Qlik Sense Business Subscription. The video above and attached PDF can guide you through that process.

Qlik Sense Business, Qlik’s newest SaaS offering, brings the power of Qlik’s third-generation analytics platform to groups, teams, and businesses that want to quickly get started operationalizing analytics and making data-driven decisions. All users get unmatched analytical power, with unique associative exploration and search, AI-powered insight suggestions, and app creation and data prep.  Qlik Sense Business is built on the same cloud-native architecture and highly-scalable cloud service as Qlik Sense Enterprise, ensuring the same consistent, seamless, and powerful experience for all users of cloud editions of Qlik Sense.

All Qlik Sense Cloud users (Business and Basic) must migrate their content to Qlik Sense Business by December 15, 2019, or it will be lost.

Here's what you need to know to prepare:

Qlik Sense Cloud Business Customers on Annual Subscriptions

You will receive two emails this week guiding you to set up Qlik Sense Business. The first email will explain the product change and how to set up Qlik Sense Business.  The second email will include a unique link to set up Qlik Sense Business.  Once you complete the set up process, Qlik Sense Business will be automatically configured to the same number of users and renewal date as your existing Qlik Sense Cloud Business subscription.  You can then begin moving content and adding users to complete the migration.

You’ll have access to both Qlik Sense Cloud Business and Qlik Sense Business through December 15, 2019 to ensure ample time to smoothly transition your content and users.

If you didn’t receive your set-up email or the link in the email expired, please log a support case.

Qlik Sense Cloud Business Customers on Month-to-Month Subscriptions and Qlik Sense Cloud Basic Customers

Next month you will receive emails with information about how to sign up for a Qlik Sense Business free trial and a limited time offer for 50% off your first annual subscription of Qlik Sense Business (month-to-month subscriptions will not be available). Be sure to follow the instructions in that email to ensure you receive the discount.

Once you sign up for a Qlik Sense Business subscription, you will also have access to both Qlik Sense Cloud Business and Qlik Sense Basic through December 15, 2019 to ensure ample time to smoothly transition your content and users.

Hello

We know that QlikSens Cloud users (Business and Basic) must migrate their content to QlikSenseBusiness by December 15 2019, and QlikSenseDesktop will no longer be free after June 30th 2020. Does QlikSense have a free version?

Thanks

Do we have a kind of On premise data gateway of QSB, which can help us to easily connect to data files, database sources on On premise server? Power BI support quite good this way.

Thanks.

And, Is there possible to get paper of Value added tax if we buy license of QSB online via credit card?

😞 I try to contact (even by private email to the person introduced by Mr. @Michael_Tarallo ) 4-5 times, but no response from any sale from Qlik, they seems to be so busy.

Hi @thi_pham ,

I'm not sure I understand the first part of your question. Are you asking if there is a way to get data from your on-premise data sources into QSB? You should be able to use the provided connectors for that.

On the VAT question, have you already paid your invoice? If so, the transaction was made through our US gateway, which does not explicitly call out VAT, so we would have to work with our Finance team for that. If you have not paid yet, then that functionality should be available through MyQlik as part of our February monthly release.

Hello Mr @QlikUpdate ,

For the invoice, thanks so much for your information, I'm still in trial period, looking forward to the Feb release.

For the On premise datagateway, I have a case: I have data files (qvd, csv, xls ) on my local server, it's easy to get those data manually to QSB to analyse and visualize. However, I could NOT make a schedule to reload or update the data files, I have to come to QSB, replace the uploaded data files manually.

Just for your reference, sorry I don't want to make any comparison, just to explain my idea clearly, on Power BI, they have a small windows application (call On premise data gateway) to do this stuff, It's automatically synchronize data from local to their cloud which we use them as data source for our BI apps.

Thanks!

@thi_pham I understand now. And yes, replacing the files is not ideal.

The way we tried to solve this was to provide web file connectors, like Dropbox. Before the Dropbox connector was available, I has the same issue that you do, manually refreshing files. Once the connector came out, I move to Dropbox and the problem was solved.

Would this be an option for you?

@QlikUpdate , Thanks for your reply, I'm using Dropbox as well. However, there are 2 concerns:

- 1st is about the stability, Some weeks ago, I usually got error when reload data from dropbox, G.drive, I had to retry some times to make it done. And no information on the scheduled task when it was failed, then I could not recognized the failed reload actively but come and check.

- 2nd is concern about data security, some users concerned that why they have cloud based storage on QSB and they have to store and manage their data on another cloud base storage  (like dropbox, G.drive).

I think QSB is great and start doing some real small business on it, except: sale is unreachable, stability is under considerable, but functionality of QLik sense is awesome. Hope you guys could enhance and make it better.

One of my clients has just upgraded from the free cloud version to the business version so now they are obviously paying for it.

We have just discovered that there doesn't now seem to be a way to increase the resolution of images that are downloaded which is a real problem for them?

It seems odd that Qlik would force clients to now pay for a product that has less functionality than the free version they used to offer clients?!

Can someone please advise if there is actually a way in the new cloud business version to increase the resolution of downloaded images?

Thanks

Ben

Download in Excel format is also changed! Although the table in qlik is tight, in excel it opens with all expanded fields. This doesn't happen before. Beofere, in Excel, the table appeared as it is in QV. Collapse. But now...

Ex: QV. - right click - download - data.
