When do one use QVD files and or n-tiered data architectures

Hi, I am new to QlikView. I am not familier to when to use which architectures. Therefore it would be great if you can share your experience.

I'm afraid that there is no standard answer to this question.

It has to do with the complexity of the Data Model as well as the amount of the data.

Some search in the community will help you clarify things.

Nils's document than is a very good example. It is a sample of the data architectures that can be used in a QlikView deployment. However, as you can read on the top of the document, there are many other possible architectures, and the ones mentioned are the most common ones.
