Changes in Java licencing for corporate customers

Hi there,

I was wondering whether GeoAnalytics Plus customers will be affected by the changes in the Java licencing re-model.

Will corporate customers be required to maintain an active Java subscription to ensure they're up to date with the Java suite or does it not apply to the GeoAnalytics installation?

Hi ,

GeoAnalytics Plus works with both the Oracle supported Java distribution and the OpenJDK (https://openjdk.java.net/). These Java distributions comes from the same source and behaves the same, just the licenses are different. A customer can chose to pay for support from Oracle or go with the OpenJDK.
