Getting to Know your Gold Client Engineers

Meet Steve George.  He hails from Boise, Idaho.  Steve may be familiar to most of you since he has been a Gold Client engineer for 12 years and has likely answered a case or two for you over the years.  He has 20 years of SAP experience with a focus on functional areas SD, MM, and PM.  Prior to Gold Client, he worked for Micron Technology as a Functional Analyst and Integration Testing Coordinator.  He actually used Gold Client as an end user at Micron before moving to the Gold Client team.  This gives Steve a unique insight into what customers need.

Steve believes Gold Client’s best features are Data Snap because of its ease of use and the Number Range utility because of its importance.  Steve is the engineer who led the effort in designing the Number Range utility after seeing the impact on number ranges when building target systems.

As a Gold Client engineer, Steve has traveled all around the United States and several other countries.  One of his favorite places to visit for an implementation was Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.  One of his most challenging projects was a divestiture for GTS and TM systems due to the data volume and data model complexity.

In his free time, Steve enjoys baseball (Go Dodgers!), outdoor activities, and reading.
