A few questions

Hi

I am sure these questions have been asked but i just cant find the answers.

I an creating a pdf report using npriniting November 2018 version.

1. I have a table that show clients information (mostly numbers), so I created tables and I dragged all the fields in to the template, but the numbers are no longer formatted. (comma are missing)

2. Suddenly my report print blanks pages, because i was adjusting the length of the detailreport. I do not know what length it should be and i cant go back 😞

3.  my labels ,due to the size, have different height after creating the report. How can I make the the same height after creating the pdf?

thank you!

Hi,

My intention is not being rude but honest. Please do not get me wrong but i think that you have just sat down to Nprinting thinking that it all will be intuitive and easy and without any prior NPrinting training. This leads to fundamental misunderstanding how NPrinitng Pixel Perfect report works and how you need to approach it. Just by looking at your screenshots it seems like you have taken approach from Excel template and tried to apply it to Pixel Perfect template - which is wrong.

Pixel Perfect is very advanced and requires training or at least willingness to go through all available tutorials to cover basics and get a start.

Before posting a question in regards to size etc start from basics and learn how to build single table report in Pixel Perfect NPrinting report.

Have you watched available tutorials from help page about pixel perfect? There is many on official Qlik website

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/videos

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/video/fnis7mUXMbE - getting started with Pixel Perfect

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/video/z-VprSroEW0  - starting with Pixel Perfect Table

I suggest you first learn it from there. Learn that to build table in Pixel Perfect we use LEVEL entity (not a table Entity etc..) . Once you follow instructions from those tutorials you will probably find answers to your questions as well. You will notice that you should not adjust size of your detail report as it adjusts automatically to your table size etc...

Last thing - when posting a question on community please provide a meaningful title ("A few questions") is not meaningful and does not help others to search for solutions here. You also find difficult to find answers to similar questions and it is due to the same reason - not meaningful post title.

Just like you did - please keep providing screenshots, version of Qlik NPrinting, version of Qlik Sense/QlikView you work with.

Thank you.

kind regards

Lech

I thank you for your suggestions and I am sorry that this post is not well fit for this board. I will go back to the training document again. I am not trying to find excuses for my careless reading, but i think the training document is not a easy read. There was no one screenshot and I think that was one of the reasons people asked the same questions. I could be wrong, but I find the document is hard to follow.

Also my workplace does not allow certain websites and  files. (youtube ,video streaming , social media is forbidden at work). My resources are limited. Anyway this sounds like an excuse but if you know how inconvenience to work from home , you will understand and I am not asking sympathy.

Again, I am sorry I should have done more research before asking and thank you for your links!

Hi,

Thanks for your feedbacks about documentation. I'll share them with the documentation writers.

Video tutorial are an important part of the training material we produce and to give them the maximum visibility they are on YouTube. They solves the lacks of screenshot in the help site. So for us a social like YouTube is a business tool to share the knowledge about the products.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
