Hello Folks,
Sometimes, due to the data that is available, my report has filters that don't exist in the current set. This causes the report to be ungeneratable and send out an error. Is there a way for me to tell NPrinting to not send out that email to the recipient complaining about not being able to generate a report.
Sincerely,
Justin Dallas
What version of NPrinting are you on?
I am sure current version will not send an empty email...
cheers
Lech
It won't send an email, but it will send an email complaining that the report couldn't be generated. This effect can be seen when your report has a filter for a value that doesn't exist ex. { WorldCupYear=2029 }.
Here is what my emails look like.

I'm sorry, I neglected to mention, I'm on version
Qlik NPrinting November 2017
Version: 17.6.0000.0
My bad Justin - you might be rigth - the empty report will not be sent, but email might still go out.
Yep, and that's what I was looking to squelch. I'd rather get my butt-kicked or have a friendlier message than have to explain to everyone the sequence of events that lead to no report being attached.
The only way I see it to use the API to remove unwanted users from the group or run the import task (if you using it) and check the "remove/delete users..." checkbox.
Hi Justin - We recently got the same complaint from user. Have you been able to find a way around or permanent fix?
Hi,
Please open a new post for any new question. Always add all the information that are necessary to reproduce and understand the issue. For example the version of Qlik NPrinting you are using, screenshots and logs etc.
Best Regards,
Ruggero
