Dynamic CC and BCC groups using NPrinting 16

Hi,

I have created, in my .nsq file, a Report task. I have three different groups of e-mail addresses. The first Group should be the 'TO' of the email, the second Group should be the 'CC' of the email and, of course, the third should be the 'BCC'.The members of these 3 groups can dynamically change.

So I have created 3 Recipient Imports and 3 Recipients (one for each group). The Recipients Imports allow the recipients to dynamically change without problem.

Although the setting in the Report Task for the CC and BCC remain static.

For example if test1@test1.com enters in the CC Recipient,  the Report task doesn't see it. The Report task doesn't allow any dynamically changes in the CC and BCC Recipients.

Could someone explain me how can I insert dynamic CC and BCC Group in my Report Task?

Thanks in advance,

Valeria

Hi Valeria,

Yes, as you found out, groups added to the CC & BCC fields in the tasks Message tab get expanded to their list of e-mail addresses.

To get around this I would create a Recipient Imports entity (and it's corresponding Import Recipients Task) that configures a single recipient to have multiple e-mail addresses in the To, CC & BCC e-mail addresses fields. Use this recipient as the only one in your Report Task. Change the recipient source as required and run the Import Recipients task to dynamically change TO, CC & BCC e-mail addresses.

Can we still do this in NPrinting 17?

balabhaskarqlik

As Ruggero, specified in one of the post for you:

Qlik NPrinting 17+ supports the import of users from an Excel file. This feature will be improved in next release September 2018 where you will be able to import more user fields and also import from an LDAP service natively.

The CC and BCC fileds associated with users like in 16 will not be present in September 2018 but you can use the ones in the publish task.
