Email history

Hello Folks,

I've been told that my NPrinting report isn't going out to some folks.  This would make sense, but the report is distributed to an NPrinting group, so if they are a user on the NPrinting system and there account is Enabled, then they should be getting the email.  However, I don't have any proof of what was or wasn't sent out by the system.  The closest thing I can find is in the C:\ProgramData\NPrinting\Logs where it will say:

The e-mail for bucket a176ae1d-c3cc-4e64-9aee-a10ced4c9fbe has been sent.

Unfortunately, that doesn't tell me if an email went to "jane@doe.com".  Is there anyway to get that history or sent emails?

Re: Email history

Hello Ruggero,

When I go to the link you've provided, I get the "Unauthorized 'Access to this place or content is restricted. If you think this is a mistake, please contact your administrator or the person who directed you here'" smack down.

Re: Email history

hi, on top of that users have to have a Role assigned in Admin console which will allow them to see report, otherwise email will not go out.

cheers Lech

Re: Email history

Hi Lech,

Open the Qlik NPrinting Scheduler log file in %ProgramData%\NPrinting\Logs\nprinting_scheduler.log.

Starting from Sept 17 the log for email looks like

Qlik.NPrinting.Repo 17.4.1.0 Qlik.NPrinting.Repo.Service.ReportPublishingService 20170726T115001.885+02:00 INFO RD-RPC-INEXPRPT Nprinting Task Identity 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 The e-mail for bucket a6ddbf24-5266-4426-ac21-9d143aac757a has been sent to abc@defg.com

So recipient email is explicit. Before the log messages were similar to the one posted at the beginning so it was hard to analyze if email to a specific recipient was sent.

Best Regards,
Ruggero
