Error: Invalid characters in file name

Hi,

One of my NPrinting task throws the following exception in the logs.

Service 2/2/2017 7:40:26 AM Message Filter field: Report Name {Change Management-GCM/Controls} ()

Service 2/2/2017 7:40:26 AM Message Start Market Data Monthly Spend Report

Service 2/2/2017 7:40:26 AM Message Report type: Excel Workbook (Excel Workbook)

Service 2/2/2017 7:40:27 AM Error Error: Invalid characters in file name

Report Name is the field in the QVW and the value is Change Management-GCM/Controls

May be NPrinting don't like the slash in the Report Name value because I have other values that I am passing and I don't see any issues with those values.

Does anyone know what would be the cause?

Hi John,

'/' is directory delimiter so that is most likely causing the trouble.

Thanks Matus. Appreciate your response. So that is sort of an limitation with NPrinting.

Another question I have is, how do I find what triggered the nsq to run.

There are no QEMC tasks and No scheduled in the nsq and there is no ondemand.

I don't see from the log either what triggered this nsq to run.

Is there any other place that I can check how this nsq was triggered?
