Export Report in failure

Hello.
Under Nprinting fev 2019 sr1

I want to export a report under :  C:\NPrintingServer\QV Documents\Rapports
I receive the message "myfile.zip could not be downloaded"
The explanation is probably in the log (attach) but I can not interpret.
Can you help me

Jacques

Hi,

Thanks for more detailed explanation.

This issue does not look to me like NPrinting issue at all. It is more Internet settings issue in your company. This is most likely controlled via group policies or account privilages to read/write in certain disk locations.

As per my understanding the error you see in IE pop-up which is web browser popup.

Can you use chrome browser instead?

Can you try to save this in different spot (for example on your desktop)

Can you change IE internet settings?

Hi Lech

Well done !  This is really a browser problem. (IE security setting)
I install chrome and try again and it's good

Once again thank you very much for your responsiveness and efficiency

Hi,

We probably need little bit more information:

  • Where did you receive this message? In email? or When trying to download report in NewStand or maybe you saw it in Task execution admin tab in NPrinting Admin Console?
  • Can you screenshot it?
  • Can you also attach actual NPrinting logs (make sure you turn on Debug mode - check on https://help.qlik.com how to do it!). NPrinitng Logs in full are Engine, Scheduler and WebEngine logs. Info also available on https://help.qlik.com

Also wanted to ask:

  • how big is this report?
  • Does it have custom name (based on cycle or variable?)
  • Maybe it contains forvidden characters when generating name of the file, hence it cannot be saved with this name as it does not meet windows file name requirements (characters like for example  :, \ are not allowed...

regards

Hi,

Sometimes it cannot be exported because you have already saved file with exactly same name. While exporting, select option Save as and then rename file, it will save it.

Hi Lech
Thanks for your attention

I'm in Nprinting Console
I select one report : It's a very sample one
I use the "Exporter" button
I use "Save as"  and rename the field to something simple : Test_Mise_Forme
Then a popup appears with "Test_Mise_Forme.zip could not be downloaded"

In attach file you have the logs and screenshot of the approach

I hope that it's clearer.
