Headers in report still show

In nprinting I created a report containing a table from Qlik.

This report contains two levels.

Allthough I set all headers to "hide" they still show and the total table too, they still show up.

What do I have to change ?

Hi,

Please specify the version of Qlik NPrinting you are using.

Post a screenshot of the template so we can see the structure.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

We are using 17.6.0000.

EDIT: I added a "delete-row"tag in the cell below <Rubriek_Grootboek_1> and now the headers do not show.

Is this the right way to remove the headers? What is the purpose of the "hide-headers" property then ?

Hi,

Delere row is used to delete the row where you place it and it doesn't matter with column headers.

To hide header you correctly set the Show headers attribute.

Please note that in the attached template the headers are write by the red highlighted cells and not comes from the Qlik object. In this template headers will appear also if you set Show headers to hide.

The read highlighted cells appear when I draw a field from the table into the template.

So every time when I draw a field into the template two cells are filled (the header-  and the value-tag). So what will be hidden by selecting the "hide header" property ?

Delete the row of the template with the headers as you do in a normal Excel file and keep the Show headers option to hide.

It is a bit contraintuitive that drag&drop still brings the headers even after you select hide headers. So you have to delete them. The difference is that they are added when report is generated.

This is from NP17 help but I think it behaves the same as in NP16.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2017/Content/ExcelReports/FullExcelTableCompatibility...

Hide: Qlik NPrinting will not add headers. You can type them, or obtain dynamic headers using QlikView variables and Excel formulas.

Show in tag cell: column headers will be inserted in the tag cells and data will start in the row below. Formulas and variables in original QlikView headers will not be replaced.

Show above tag cell: column headers will be inserted in the row above tag cells. Data will start on the row with the tags. Use this option when column headers in the original QlikView documents use variables or formulas and you want them to be reported in the table.

Hi,

I'll open a help page improvement.

Note that the Show headers option is available for the table and for the columns.

If you drag and drop the table tag the headers will not be added as cell text.

If you drag and drop some columns the headers will be added as text cells. The Show headers option continue to works so, for example, you can delete the text headers an use the ones added by Qlik NPrinting.

Ruggero
