How do I add date to the subject of nprinting email (dynamic subject)

Hi,

Can we add the date (when the email was sent) to the subject of the email in Nprinting. I'm using Nprinting 17.2.0.0.

Thank you.

it is because it is not supported yet - so obviously it does not work!

Hi,

Is this feature added in the September 2018 release.

As checked in the below, link there is no update about this. Any idea by when can we expect this, as Users required it for some reason.

Hi,

You can already add some dynamic content into the email subjects. Just add the tags into the email body then cut and past it into the subject. Of course, ad the moment you can add in the subjects only the tags that are available in the bodies.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi,

This is what it is possible to do with Qlik NPrinting at the moment (September 2018).

All other features need to be developed and I don't know when they will be available.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi,

Below is the workaround for adding date in Email Subject line in Nprinting 17

Nprinting 17 supports user tags in Email body as well as Email Subject line.

In my case user list is imported through excel.

Following are the steps to add date in Email subject line.

  1. Put ‘=Today()’ function in one of the field of the user list excel which are available in User tags.
  2. Create an excel with macros in it to open, save and close the user list excel.
  3. Schedule the macro enabled excel via batch file.
  4. Schedule the import task to reload the user_list metadata in Nprinting accordingly.
  5. Add the user tag containing date and Paste the Variable appeared for the tag in Subject line.
