How to update "Domain account" value of SOME of the NPrinting users? We want to update 150 accounts out 500.

Hello,

We have around 500 users registered in NPrinting. They are global users with different domain\ID values.

We want to update only the "domain account" value of some of the users from the Users list. We want to replace their current IDs with a new ID for each users. There are around 150 users that need updating.

Can the Import Users utility do this? Is there an example of what it would look like in terms of the spreadsheet and things that must be ticked or unticked from the Import users facility?

We do not want anything else updated, created, or removed, we just want to update the values of the 150 users from 500. We do not want any users removed.

Hi,

November 2018 is an old version no more supported, so, also the related help site is no more available. I suggest you to plan an upgrade to a supported version. I share links from latest, February 2021, version.

You can use the import user task as documented in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2021/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Import-Use... it supports the domain user. You can create an Excel file with only the users you need to upgrade.

There are also public APIs https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2021/Content/NPrinting/Extending/Intro-Extending.htm. To upgrade an existing user you can use the PUT https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2021/APIs/NP+API/index.html?page=65

Best Regards,

Ruggero
