Migration - no tasks /reports

hi guys,

i'm in the process of migrating projects from 16.6 to April 2020 (new server - new installs for both Qlikview and Nprint)

i have various projects in 16.6 (all the tasks run fine and deliver to the business ok)

i have an issue where some projects migrate fine to April 2020 on the new server with the export tool (in that the tasks and reports migrate  ok)

but some (and of course the largest) projects import fine, with no errors, BUT then there's no imported tasks or reports?

i'd really appreciate any help with this, we're on a temp licence on the new server so time is tight.

i really dont understand where i'm going wrong.

cheers all.

There is no clear answer to that question. Before migration you should make sure ALL features used in your projects are supported. Did you do analysis which features are and which ones are not?

You are also not providing any information what is not migrating - If you use migration tool there is a workflow log which indicates step by step what are the issues. In your case you just say that task or reports did not migrate which are 2 main components. Maybe reports can't be migrated because they are not supported or are using not supported components?

I would never attempt migration if I would not analyse each of the reports beforehand to verify how they are constructed.

You may want to go through this document which @Andrew_Kruger  prepared. He has highlighted unsupported objects and features which can cause problem.

Other than that we can't help more...
