NP On Demand, User Access to Report

In NP16 I was able to have specific On Demand reports accessible to specific users only.  This was done by creating a container with the NP Report buttons, and making the container viewable only to the users that need access. These reports contain payroll/HR type information and only specific users are allowed to generate/view the reports.

Is there any way within the new NP to make a report available via On Demand but only to specific users?

Hi,

You can create a Qlik NPrinting app for the On-Demand reports and a role with grants as the following screenshot.

Than assign this role to the users that have to run the On-Demand reports. Be sure that other users have not On-Demand rights on the same app or on all apps.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

@Ruggero_Piccoli Is there an easy way to copy or move a report from one app to another?

Also, it appears that creating another app will require a second connection to the same QVW.  We already have issues with metadata refreshes so this means we'll compound the issues with multiple connections.

Unless I'm missing something, this is definitely not as ideal as I originally thought.

Hi,

You can export and import the report. Refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2021/Content/NPrinting/AdministeringQVNprinting/Import...
