NPrint not recognizing newly added data

Hello,

I am not getting my template editor updated after reloading metadata for my dash board. I am using 2021 version of NPrint.  Please help to understand what the issue is , if this has been happening

Hi,

  1. template type in NPrinitng means: Entity, PixelPerfect, HTMl,Excel, PowerPoint, Word... which ones you are using?
  2. provide steps you do in QlikView - Run the updated report in QMC.
    1. What do you mean updated report? Do you mean just "Reload of QVW"? or something else...
    2. if you do then this is obviously not enough. First you had to edit your QVW file in QlikView desktop (open-> file) add/change whatever new thing you wanted to do in your QlikView app. Save/replace qvw and then reload from QMC. QlikView server objects (created by users in access point or by using "open in server option from QlikView desktop" are obviously not supported in NPrinitng - https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting-Discussions/Access-to-QlikView-shared-server-objects-fr...

Hi,

Close and reopen the Designer. The list of available entities is read at the opening of the Designer.

After that, if you do not see a specific object in a node, it means that the type of that object is not supported for that node.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

...for example, you won't be able to use a List Box as a table but can use it as a level or page.

Hi,

When asking question please invest time to provide us with information to allow us to troubleshoot particular scenario. In your case you just said it is not working for you, so my answer would be: "that you are doing something wrong!" 😂

Now to answer your question we would need to know ALL steps you are taking and the scenario used starting with:

  • provide NPrinting version (I take it is February 2021)
  • provide QlikView version?
  • provide connection type used (Local,QVP, Claster)?
  • provide template used?
  • provide steps you do in QlikView
  • provide steps you do in NPrinting Admin console
  • provide steps you do in NPrinting designer

Depending on template used the issue may be that you actually need to remove object tag and load it again, or used "Update" feature in templates which support it. I also recommend always to close and reopen designer before any metadata update is done.

cheers

Hello,

  • provide NPrinting version (I take it is February 2021) - May 2021 it says
  • provide QlikView version? - November 2017
  • provide connection type used (Local,QVP, Claster)? - Server
  • provide template used? - What does this mean?
  • provide steps you do in QlikView - Run the updated report in QMC.
  • provide steps you do in NPrinting Admin console - Reload metadata in Connections in Nprint side- Open template editor for associated report.
  • provide steps you do in NPrinting designer - Trying to add table by Tables -> Add Objects(new table not found)

Hope this helps
