NPrinting 17 Macro Enabled Excel Templates

Hi,

I am finding the lack of macros in Excel templates in NPrinting 17 a real problem.

In version 16, you could output some data into an Excel sheet and have a macro execute on opening to change a named range and refresh all pivot tables to give well formatted summary reports with the ability to drill to details. Without it, you would have to tell recipients to change pivot table ranges and refresh - messy, some would need training and there is a danger that they would look at the unrefreshed pivot tables and think that was the latest report, so not very practical.

All NPrinting has to do is ignore the macros in the Excel document, so could this be a priority in the next upgrade?

Regards,

Chris

This is already available in the September 2018 release. You can read the release notes here.

Excel reports generated in .xlsm format

Qlik NPrinting can generate Excel reports in .xlsm format. Visual basic macros can be created inside the Qlik NPrinting Designer and will be available in the final report. However, they are not executed.
