NPrinting 17 recipient filters

Hi All,

I have an issue with NPrinting 17, and imported recipients.

Scenario

There is one Qlik Sense app and I have two NPrinting reports that need to be generated and distributed via email.

Each report has user-specific filters that need to be applied, example as follows:

Report (a) - sent to Group 1

User: john@company.com requires filter on field x but not field y

Report (b) - sent to Group 2

User: john@company.com requires filter on field y but not field x

A recipient email address must be unique, and as such can only have one set of filters associated with it, so the above is going to present a significant issue.

Is there a known solution to this? I've seen people suggest that separate recipient imports are run prior to each report task, but this isn't really practical because of the bug with recipient filters just adding on new imports and also because of the extreme likelihood of failure due to tasks not running in exactly the right order.

The option of creating separate reports for each user with the filters associated at that level would very quickly become an unmanageable nightmare, too.
