NPrinting 18 - The object has been rundown by the stub manager while there are external clients

Does anyone have any suggestions on what would cause this error when running a QV based NP report?  This started happening out of the blue on a report that used to run.  Now it appears to run forever, and just gives the following log message, and so I just end up aborting the NP Publish Task since I know it should have finished already.  I'll attach my log too, but I didn't seeing anything (and/or don't understand what these logs tell me).

I think I discovered the cause of this error.  I had myself as an email recipient in the Destinations because I wanted to be notified when my NP publish task ended, so I just wanted an email without any report attached.  This is not correct thinking on my part in regards to NP.  This is probably a problem because my NP report is using user filters to determine what data each user/report recipient can get (NP's version of section access, so to speak), which means those users are set up properly in my data model in QV in order to make that happen, HOWEVER, I am NOT a user/report recipient in the data model because I technically am not associated to the data (we report on doctor data, and I am not a doctor).  So what I am going to do is somehow add myself to the data model with dummy data to mimic being a report recipient, then I can get an email notification and 100% prove this was the cause of this error.  So in closing, if I had my way, some improvement suggestions to NP would be to (1) create a more user friendly error message in the logs when this scenario occurs, (2) offer functionality in NP that allows a developer or administrator of the tools to get notifications when publish tasks finish without having to be established as a report recipient when the scenario exists as described here.

Hi,

I checked your message with a couple of developers. Please open a support ticket. Include a link to this conversation and the full log in DEBUG mode. Refer to the chapter "Changing log details level" of the page https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2018/Content/NPrinting/AdministeringQVNprinting/Loggin....

We need the debug logs to deeper investigate your issue.

Add also the information about the version of the software you are using.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Yes, I figured I'd have to submit a support case.  The scheduler log attached here is in DEBUG mode but is just the portion surrounding the error.  Assuming support will also need the other logs and not just the scheduler one, I'll have to recreate the problem since those files have been overwritten already.  (FYI, NP version is Qlik NPrinting September 2018, Version: 18.29.7.0)

Hi,

Yes, of course, support need the whole logs (all the files and complete). Also having the app and the template is useful. They need to be able to replicate the error on their computers to debug it.

You can also update your installation to latest version and test it.

Best REgards,

Ruggero

Hi,

Task notifications are in the roadmap. I don't know when they will be delivered.
