NPrinting 18 cycling report with fields from diffe... - Qlik Community

Hi,

We have the report to cycle through a field from two different connections. The thing is that we have seen that "Linked Field" functionality is available in NPrinting 16 and it is not in NPrinting 17. We are currently working with NPrinting 18 and we think neither it is in this version.

When creating publish task we can enable cycle and choose two fields from different connections (in this case it is the same field shared in both connections). But it seems is not working a no email is sent.

Is it known when this cycling feature is going to be released? If it's already been updated maybe we are doing something wrong when creating the task cycling parameter. If it was the case we would appreciate some help.

Linked fields are still not available (also in the latest Feb 2019 release). As of now, the approach you are taking is not supported!

Hi,

The solution is to create an app only for reporting purposes by merging the two original apps. This is a workaround for the laks of Linked Fields feature and creating an app only for reporting purposes is also a best practice we always suggest.

The workaround solution by @Ruggero_Piccoli is the correct workaround since linked fields are not available in NP 17, 18, 19 and higher.

Linked fields is not a feature that will introduced into this platform for the foreseeable future unfortunately.
