NPrinting Designer for pptx or PowerPoint is not Opening Properly

Hello!

I have a strange issue with Qlik Nprinting Designer. For powerpoint type of Nprinting Reports, whenever I try to edit the template, the Nprinting designer open up but the powerpoint which is usually inside the Nprinting Designer opens separately. See attached image.

The area inside the Nprinting Designer is blank. The ppt template that should have been inside the Nprinting Designer opens up separately in a new powerpoint window. I am using May 2021 version of Nprinting Designer and my colleague has tried on Sep2020 version. Both have the same problem.

This issue is just with ppt type reports, others like doc and xls open fine.

Has anyone had this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Qlik NPrinting Designer must be on the same version of the Server it is connecting with. So why are you using the May 2021 SR3 and your colleague's September 2020? Are you connecting to different Qlik NPrinting Servers? If you are both connecting to the same Qlik NPrinting server please align the installed Designer.

The May 2021 SR3 should solve this issue Qlik NPrinting® Release notes - May 2021 Service Release 3.

If not please try the solution described in Qlik NPrinting Designer cannot find a supported reporting template editor.

Please be also sure that you have installed May 2021 SR3 and let us know if the solution works.

Your colleague is not experiencing the issue because it depends on the version of Microsoft Office installed. Maybe your is newer and one of the versions is affected.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
