NPrinting Designer is slow

I use NPrinting 17.2.2 and create a Report.

When I edit the template and click the Preview Button it takes a few Minutes to see the Report, sometimes it goes to timeout.

QVW is very small with only1 Variable..

What is wrong or what can I do??

Disagree with following:

switch from opening nprinting designer on your local machine to the server

that is not true and is not recommended!

  • Upgrade to June 2017 version
  • First of all make sure you have enough CPU cores!! and then RAM on server (that is for preview purpose)
  • Rest you can get from my comments in this topic: QVW size limitations with NPrinting 17

Pixel Perfect editor can get slow with many levels and especially when used with PixelPerfect Charts, but then more CPUs does the job (new generation CPUs  - not from 2007 like on old server VMs or BOXES!!!)

There was a white paper produced in the past few months on architecture and scalability. It has some sections on performance and what to expect (just to give you a few pointers)
