NPrinting Server error during installation: "file is being used by another process"

Hello,

We've encountered the following error after adding OnDemand NPrinting Project file:

The action can't be completed because the folder is open in another program

Has anyone else had this problem?

I unfortunately cannot read the error message (can't translate it) but are you getting the rror when trying to start the service?  What action is taking palce which causes the error to appear

you said you started to encounter the error when you added on demand but you also state the error is encountered during installation?

did you not have the nprinting service isntalled prior to on demand?

Hi Adam,

The error message appears during NPrinting installation. It says that the file is being used by another application/process , which  is srtange however as I have tried to remove the file manually and it worked...

In the insallation guide, they tell you to select OnDemand.nsq. There is also another file available, NPrintingTraining.nsq. Should we be choosing this one instead?

if you want to test/play with the on demand functionality, you should use the on demand.nsq.

the training.nsq is more for how to build report, filters etc

also, what is it that you are isntalling?  is it NPrinting server?  was it installed before?  you do not need to isntall nprinting server for on demand if you have installed the server previously

We're installing NPrinting server for the first time. At some point, it asks you to select a project file to be able to continue the installation process.

I have not done an isntall in a while - did not realize it requred to specify an nsq

The issue has been fixed by a server reboot. It looks like it was caused by hanging qv.exe processes.
