NPrinting connection reload metadata should run after the job completion in QMC

Is there any way to trigger the connection metadata reload after the completion of the respective layout in QMC.

The requirement is to refresh the layout in QMC and once it is done, the respective layout connection metadata reload should happen in NPrinting November 2019.

Hi, Your question is not really clear and you may need to rephrase it little bit to ensure we can understand it.

Now couple of points:

  • make sure you run supported configuration/environment (please check it on https://help.qlik.com ) - check supported QlikView version (you may also provide that info here as it plays important role)
  • if your goal is to reload metadata connection after QlikView reload in QMC then the way to go is to use the NPrinting API. All documentations and links to achieve this are here: https://nprintingadventures.com/2019/04/08/nprinting-api-qlik-rest-subroutines/
  • what is the purpose of your screenshot - it is not related to the question really as it shows that your NPrinting is not able to communicate to QlikView application which can be result of wrong configuration or unsupported objects in your qvw (refer to https://help.qlik.com for details regarding this)

Hi,

In the text you mention November 2019 instead the label is November 2018. Please use the correct label, thanks.

As mentioned by @Lech_Miszkiewicz the error is caused by a wrong configuration. Most frequent causes are the lack of an active QlikView license on the Qlik NPrinting Engines or the lack of Engines configuration on the Server. All Engines must be configured and in online green status. Then run a verify configuration in the connection to have some more specific error messages. In case of errors in the run verification start to solve issues from the first listed.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
