In NP16 we had the functionality to select a report (or other object) and then click on the "Show Dependencies" button to see where the report/object is used. We found this very useful and can't locate similar functionality within the new NPrinting product. For example, if we need to change a filter we need to know everywhere that the filter is used to determine if we can modify the filter or if we have to create a new one. Also, in the new version the output report file name is set on the task vs on the report itself. If we need to change an output file name we now need to know what tasks the report is on. Has anybody figured out a way to get this type of information within the new NPrinting (20+).
Thanks.
Hi,
At the moment there is not an equivalent native feature but you can give a check at the Governance Dashboard at the link https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting-Documents/NPrinting-Governance-Dashboard/ta-p/1744538
Best Regards,
Ruggero
Ruggero,
We don't use QlikSense, is there a QlikView equivalent of the Governance Dashboard or is there a way to convert the .qvf to a .qvw?
Also, is there a current published roadmap for NPrinting? Are there plans to add the "Show Dependencies" to NP20+?
Louis
Hi @louiswinter
Instruction to convert to QV version are simple and you cand do it yourself (once you do this you may as well share it here for benefit of others 🙂
Those steps are easy to anyone who worked with QlikView or Qlik Sense.
Alternatively since you have Qlik Sense desktop you may as well use it for the purpose you need it.
