Network drives not available in Nprinting qvw document

Hi,

I created a qvw which is extracting data from a network location, this runs well in qlikview desktop, but when i ask nprinting to reload the document it can't find the location ( although the same user).

If i open qlikview stand alone and go to the script and add  a tabel i am able to see the netwerk drive, but if i open qlikview through Nprinting and do the same the network drives are gone.

anyone any idea?

I am not sure how you reload in Nprinting for QVW. Do you mean to refresh the connection to get the new list of objects?

In Nprinting, it does not accept the network drive names like Z, Y...   you need to specify these drives as \\yourserver\foldername\

Like Alex said you should work with \\servername\sharename\path references instead of mapped drives.

Nprinting services work at the background and there are no mapped network drives available when running as a service.

As Alex and Paul stated, you can't use mapped drives as they will not be recognized by the windows admin user which NPrinting needs to access QVWs and populate reports.
