Nprinting License Error : Licence violations setected. The number of users exeeds the current license limit (1 found, but 0 allowed)

Hello;

I have installed Qlik Nprinting May 2021. Version 21.14.3.0 on a Windows server 2016 standard, version : 1607, OS build : 14393.1066 Supposed to be connected to Qlik Sense August 2021. this is a first installation.

During the installation when trying to activate the license the following error appears ==> We can't activate the license on the server. After copying the license key and clicking on the "activate" button, a first message appears saying: "The license service is not responding. Restart the Qlik Nprinting License service". Then, after restarting the service, a second message is displayed saying : "Something went wrong with the current operation".

While checking the log file "nprinting_webengine" available in the following location: C:\ProgramData\Nprinting\Logs, we found this error message: "Licence violations setected. The number of users exeeds the current license limit (1 found, but 0 allowed)".

I tried with and without without proxy. In both cases, the activation of the license does not work.

Are you logged in as the Nprinting administrator that was created when installing? If not try logging on the Nprinting server as the Administrator and licensing. See the following link: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/Troubleshooting/License-activation-e...

Thank you for your suick answer;

Yes, I was logged in as the NPRINTING administrator. I tried the proposed action over the link it doesn't work.

Please check that the license service has access to the URL below.

 

Activation Using the Signed License Key

The request is performed by the service Licenses using port 443 (https protocol procedures applies).

https://license.qlikcloud.com

 

If you need offline licensing (no internet access on the NP server), then an Signed License Definition file will be needed. You can request this from Qlik customer support.

 

If your NP server does not have network access, you can also temporarily license your NPrinting Server using the offline activation method found via the help page below or if you just want to get NPrinting up and running while you wait for an Signed License Definition file.

 

If your system is online but you have the error, ensure to firewall access to port 443 and  https://license.qlikcloud.com

Hi @Frank_S ,

 

Sorry for the late answer; was waiting for the infra team to open 443 port. 

I tried all the proposed methodes, please find attahed the log file it shows again the same error :"LICENSE VIOLATIONS DETECTED". Please let me know of I need to ask for a new licence ?

If your License is Small Business edition and if you have added more than 2 developers or more than 250 users then yes you would need a new license.
