Nprinting Services Account Logon

Hi,

I have an Nprinting environment already set up with scheduled task already set up as well. This works fine however I want to change the service account logon information to another service account on services.msc. So I want to change the logon for the following services

Qlik Nprinting Engine

Qlik Nprinting Scheduler

Qlik Nprinting Web Engine

My question is when I change the logon for the services above, will the affect any scheduled tasks or reports already setup in Nprinting?

Also if I want to point an output to a folder on a different server, where would I do it?

yes it might.

I will not tell you all the consequences but the ones i can tell you straight away are:

• NRinting account running engine needs to have QlikView License so you will also have to lease a license to this account
• It needs to belong to certain groups depending on your setup (QlikVIew or Qlik Sense) (details are in help document)
• If you use section access or any other funny user related tricks in your application (like sometimes we hide sheets in QlikVIew documents so only NPrinting account can read them - this would have to be adjusted)

It does not harm to try, but before get familiar with help document https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/June2018/Content/Introduction/Introduction.htm and read section about users, about deployment and installation of each service as it will highlight all requirements you have to meet with this new service account
