Nprinting URL access without using Port 4993, 4994

Hi Friends,

I want to access Nprinting URL without using port 4993 like for example URL  (https://abc.com:4993) should be replaced with

URL (https://abc.com).

The DNS team confirmed that DNS can not created with port number. So please help how to achieve to open

NPrinting URL(web console or newsstand) without using ports 4993 or 4994

Thanks&regards--

Nayan

Hi,

Yes. Ruggero was absolutely right. I went with his suggestion earlier for configuring the ports for Nprinting.

We cannot use the same port number for newsstand as well as web console nprinting URLs, as both designed to run on different port numbers. I have changed to 443 for one and 8443 for the other. 443 eliminates to mention port number to the URL. Anyway, for another URL you need to mention the port number and also make sure the mentioned port is open for communication from your machine/users machine. 443 port normally doesn't have firewall block, the other port number you give may have firewall block as per your company security rules.

Port numbers to be changed in  webengine.config

Thanks,

Shravani

Thanks @shrav666

I have seen qlik sense url's like below:

https://servername.company.com/qmc

https://servername.company.com/hub

so trying to do the same with NPrinting url's. Is there a way to configure the Url's like below:

https://servername.company.com/nprintingqmc

https://servername.company.com/nprintinghub

Thanks,

Anil

Hi,

You need to use a third party proxy. You cannot this goal with Qlik NPrinting configuration.

We do not supply  that kind of proxy so I don't know which suggest you.

Ruggero
