Please let me know the way how i can reuse already created filters Because  I have 200  hubcodes 100 users . one user can be  associated with multiple hubcodes. ...

regarding above - for each combination of hubcodes you should create unique filter (as mentioned above I woulduse excel import)

Hi,

it clearly say that the filter you are trying to apply generates empty sets - so it is likely due to the wrong value you are trying to filter data on or with conjunction with other filters data set indeed returns empty set.

Important thing to do is actually read documentation before starting creating filters as there are many rules (especially those around datatypes: "value","numerical value" are very important!

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/June2019/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Static-dynamic-f...

I also wrote few posts regarding common mistakes with NPrinitng filters on my blog:

https://nprintingadventures.com/

go through help document and my posts (espetially about pitfalls) and letus know if you still experiencing issue.

If you still do then:

  • provide a screenshot of all details of nprinitng filter (fields, values, option ticked)
  • provide information if you use any other filters with this report (recipient, report or task filters)
  • provide information regarding field type in QlikView or Qlik Sense - In Table viewer all fields have specific tags; like integer, date or ascii etc. This information is very important when creating NPrinitng filter
  • provide a information (script) how the field is loaded to Qlik Sense or QlikView

regards

Lech

Hi,

It gives me error when i apply two filters together with same  column name , lets suppose, I have three hubcodes (1,2,3) and created three filters for hubcodes(1,2,3) and applied for three different users A B C Filters (1,2,3) respectively. it is working fine till now . If I add another user D and apply filters(1,2) which are already created then it gives me error.

solution:- if I create forth filter having values(1,2) and apply on user D then it works.

Please let me know the way how i can reuse already created filters Because  I have 200  hubcodes 100 users . one user can be  associated with multiple hubcodes.

 I am nprinting April 2018

Thanks

Well - filters are selections... so..

Sample 1 - if you apply on the field values

  • A,B,C
  • and then on the same field you try apply value A,D
  • then only A value will be selected as this is a result of two filters applied at the same time.

Sample 2

- if you apply on the field values

  • A,B,C
  • and then on the same field you try apply value D,E
  • then filter will result in empty set as there is not common value between those filters.

The precedence is well described in https://help.qlik.com in filters section.

For recipient filters i suggest to use filters import from excel which also well described in https://help.qlik.com
