Nprinting issue with Time Zone (EST), 1 Hour issue

Hi Team,

We are experiencing difference of 1 Hour in time zone (EST), for example if 1 task is scheduled to run at 11:00 AM , it is running in difference of 1 hour 10:00AM.

In Admin/User Time Zone is selected as EST and in nPrinting Node Server also Date time Setting is set to EST with Day Light Button enabled.

We are facing this issue only in UAT environment.

Please suggest a solution to fix this problem. As it is effecting our deliverables.

@lech is correct.

If the NPrinting user associated with the task creation is in the same time zone as the NP server and if you are the NP user in question...and if you yourself are in a different time zone then what is defined by your NP user profile. then the timing of report execution will appear wrong to you.

For example:

NP server's time zone - Eastern Time (US/Eastern)

NP user account time zone - Eastern Time (US/Eastern)

But you live in Central Time (US/CENTRAL)

Result: The reports will appear to be executed at the wrong time: ie will differ by the amount of your actual time zone and the time zone associated with your NP user account.

So you likely need to ask your NP admin to ensure that the time zone in which 'you' live is inserted to your NP user profile.

Also avoid using CST and EST valuse as time zones as these do not respect daylight savings.
Use more specific zones such as the ones I shared above.

Hope that makes sense.

1. Which user profile have you used to setup the task trigger?

2. What is the time zone setup for that user?

3. What is the "Region" setup to the server and how does Date&Time configuration look like?

cheers

Lech

Ohh @Frank_S

i think you hit a nail with CST and EST with thwm not respecting daylight savings.

I think this is why we have here 1 hr difference-and solution would be to setup time zone which does respect it.
