Nprinting lock process

Hi,

i'm using the Nprinting November 2019 integrated with qlikview to create and send PDFs reports by email. The problem is, when the Nprinting task is finished, the process of qlikview its locked and using the server memory. If i start another task the server will be shutdown.

Hi @cristianozilz

The behavior you are experiencing is by design.

NPrinting keeps QV.exe processes in memory to improve performance when tasks that use the same QVW repeatedly do not need to reopen the QVW into memory. This in addition to Nprinting 17 + platform multi thread capabilities improves performance of overall NPrinting reporting and report distribution. NPrinting Scheduler algorithm internally will close unneeded QV.exe processes as needed so you do not need to worry that those processes remains in memory.

You may need to increase the RAM on your NPrinting server to improve performance. If using QVP connections, you need to consider increasing RAM on your QVP QlikView Server.

For more information about NP performance please visit https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2019/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Performanc...

Finally to ensure best performance, please upgrade to the latest version of NPrinting to leverage the latest features, performance enhancements and defect fixes.
