Nprinting web console url and newstand url not working

Hi All,

I have installed Nprinting april 2019 server and engine in a machine successfully. I have installed Nprinting designer in my client machine. I have created apps and connections in nprinting and everything went fine till now.

I can access to nprinting web console and newstand using the urls https://servername:4993/ and http://servername:4994/  from nprinting machine as well as qliksense machine. But am not able to connect to them outside the machine which is in the same client network.

From the same client machine I can connect to qliksense server qmc or hub(https://qliksensehostname/qmc or https://qliksensehostname/hub)

Please suggest how can I solve this issue i.e. how can I make the url work from my client machine (which is intranet and not the internet). Below is the error.captureerror.png

Hi,

This is not a Qlik NPrinting issue, it seems an issue related to your firewall configuration, not-opened ports or another local network issue.

Be sure you have followed the instruction in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/June2019/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Deploying.htm

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi ,

I am using a virtual machine for Nprinting. Inside the Nprinting VM I have disabled firewall. On Azure portal, under the networking section of Nprinting VM, I have opened all the necessary inbound and outbound ports.

Hi,

If you are able to open the Web Console and NewsStand pages from the local computer where Qlik NPrinting is installed it means that it is working correctly.

If you are not able to connect from another computer it means that you have to investigate the network settings, like firewall, dns, ports, etc. For example try to connect by using the IP instead of the server name.

Hi,

I have installed nprinting in Azure VM. I have opened 4994 port both inbound and outbound in Azure portal and in VM machine I have disabled the firewall. I can access with https://<ipaddress>:4994/ from Nprinting machine and Qliksense machine which are in the same network. But I cannot access the same link in other systems which are in other networks.

When tested with the command : telnet localhost 4994 - it shows the port is responding which means 4994 is opened, but strange why it is not working from outside network.

Please suggest.

Hi,

telnet localhost tests localhost but you have issues in connecting from different computers, not the local where Qlik NPrinting is installed that works.

Did you tested my suggestion of using the IP address instead of the computer name? Maybe you have a DNS issue.

In any case it is something related to the network configuration, so I suggest to ask to a colleague that knows how your company network is configured.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
