Nprinting.....

Hello Friends,

In our organization currently we are using QV Publisher for sending daily base reports using micros.

Now we are planning to impalement nprinting to send reports.

My question is

1. Which version should we implement in our company?

currently we are using QV desktop 11.20 SR2 and QV Server 11.20 also.

2. What care should be take while implementing nPrinting?

3.What types of issue will occur while installing Nprinting?

4.Is there need to upgrade our server and desktop version?

Thanks

Re: Nprinting.....

Please see the following links for starting an NPrinting project and environment:

Qlik NPrinting landing page, lots of good links for getting started, Specifically related to the NPrinting Server setup, please see the QlikView NPrinting Server troubleshooting guide : http://go.qlik.com/Welcome_QlikView_NPrinting.html

NPrinting Training Repository: http://www2.vizubi.com/NPrintingTraining.zip

This contains multiple examples of templates that are used in the Knowledge Base.

Please note to unzip the training environment to

C:/NPrintingTraining to ensure that the folder structure in the .nsq is preserved)

We also have recordings of our most recently held webinar trainings. Each session lasts for 2 hours:

Basic training on youtube:

Advanced training on youtube:

ftp site:

1.Go to https://ftpus.qliktech.com/thinclient (note if you get a warning message that the certificate is unknown – please ignore that message*)

2. Enter your username nprinting and password: qliknprinting

3. Select the files to download ( QlikView NPrinting Basic.mp4, QlikView NPrinting Advanced.mp4) and click “DOWNLOAD FILES”

Re: Nprinting.....

1.It works with most of the version.

2.NPrinting installation is  easy see the document attached

3.Issues : check with the configuration settings and web service

4. Upgrade of server or desktop  : I don't think its required

Re: Nprinting.....

Hi Avinash,

Can you please give me some idea about "Configure NPrinting Service"

i mean what it that source folder ?

Can i download setups from my local desktop and can we install it on Server?

and what is "NPrinting_OnDemand_Components" is rally need to install?

Thanks in Advance.

Re: Nprinting.....

1.what it that source folder ?

When you install the NPrinting server you will get one default folder where all your NPrinting files can be placed and you can schedule the same. NPrinting server will automatically pick all the .nsq file in this folder and as per the schedule in the .nsq it will get executed . so once you have schedule and if you want to change you need to edit the .nsq file , instead of that If you want to make this schedule from external configuration (Through XML code) you can give the XML target folder .

2.On-Demand : Is nothing but a extension object in qlikview kind, using which you can run the NPrinting task from Qlikview files : go through this link

//community.vizubi.com/knowledgebase/articles/280390-how-to-use-nprinting-on-demand-extensions-in-qlikv

Based on your requirement you can install the On-demand it comes as a Package

Re: Nprinting.....

Hi Avinash,

I installed Nprinting Designer but i dint get any nPrintingtrainingi.nsq

Thanks

Re: Nprinting.....

you need to create that ...go to files and create new and file which will get generated will be in .nsq format...for Qlikview if you create a file it will get saved in .qvw format in the same way in NPrinting the file will get saved in .nsq file format
