Order the month

Hi all,

i am unable to sort the month field in NPrinting 17.2.3

i have excel template field like month  like below  i want to sort by  jan,feb,mar,aprl,.....

but it is not getting .

can anyone help on this?

Do your sorting in your qlik sense/view chart not in nprinting.

Either with a month number value in your master calendar or a value list.

try this from Development environment only. Tricky to do in N-Printing.

In Qlik its in sorting order only means Feb2017,jan2017,dec2016,nov2016  .in desc order it is there in qliksense

but my out put excel template is coming like above.

i dont have ant value list for the month field.

in script

MonthName(MakeDate(if(PERIOD>9,FISCAL_YEAR+1,FISCAL_YEAR),if(PERIOD>9,PERIOD-9,PERIOD+3),'1')) as [Month Name]

Are you recreating the chart in NPriting ?

I notice there you have a piviot table in sense. 

Last time i tried it the piviot table wouldnt convert to a table could only bring in as an imagine into nprinting.  Is that not the case now? Im on 17.3.

If you are bringing it in as an imagine then sorting shouldnt be an issue.  If you are importing a table try bering in just the table object and keep its formating no customising of the individual columns.

Actually,

i created empty excel temple with pivots with data first then after i deleted data and done the refresh all,

then it will be empty template with layout pivot .  when we drag  objects in designer  the out put coming like that.

yes andy its table not image,

and there is no customization of columns'

Check the options in Excels for the sorting ..its nothing to with the NPrinting

I mimic but do not use a piviot table in my (Nprinting dedicated) Sense app but using a straight table then brought it into nprinting as a straight table.  It took more effort to setup but allowed me to bypassed the sorting and layout issues I just brought it in as is.
