Powerpoint report produced has a page for each paging value in the source even if that value should have been filtered out. Initially it was putting random data on these pages but setting the "Validate Filter" flag on the filter has removed the data but still get a page with headings.
Thanks for that Daniel, it worked on some of my reports which only have one filter , however I have another report which has 2 sections using 2 different filters and so I can not apply at Report level.
