Hi,
I'm getting the error 'Failed to send email for user 'user1 {***}. ERROR: 4.3.0 Temporary System Problem. Try again later (10). w9-*****.45 - gsmtp'. It fails for approximately 5 to 10 random users, out of the 30 to 40 total users.
I'm using 'Qlik NPrinting November 2020 Version: 20.39.3.0' + 'Qlik Sense November 2020 Patch 7 - 13.102.14', with a Gmail account. I've tried with different Gmail accounts. I've tried the different SMTP settings (SSL+port 465, TLS+25, TLS+587). The account has '2-step verification' and 'app passwords' already enabled for authenticating in NPrinting. The Gmail account is dedicated to the NP service. The domain has already been whitelisted in the Google console. OS is Windows Server 2019 Datacenter.
Thank you for your comments and ideas,
Please know that the NPrinting server is not an email server.
It only sends out messages (report) via SMTP.
As such the error is being logged by your NP server but the problem is with your external email server.
Try to get current settings from your Gmail email server provider. Those may have changed.
Additionally, you should check your google email account is configured to allow "Less Secure Apps"
Please also carefully review the point in the article below.
Kind regards...

Hi @Frank_S
Thank you for your support.
We are currently using the '2-step verification' + 'app passwords' authentication method. Our understanding is that 'Less Secure Apps' setting will be deprecated by Google at some point.
Most emails are sent, but some tasks fail for random users, so our guess is that the NPrinting settings are ok. As you mentioned, it seems that the problem is on the STMP server side.
We haven't solved this yet. It seems it's related to the max number of concurrent connections mentioned here.
There is also another post suggesting to add a way to configure this in NPrinting.
Unfortunately it is purely a google issue.
If they are your corporate email provider then we would urge you to work with the Google support group to try resolve or improve this behavior.
Kind regards...

Hi,
We solved this issue by connecting NP to an SMTP server enabled for bulk emailing. Thanks,
