Qlik NPrinting upgrade, QlikSense version compatibility

As per documentation stating that your Qlik Nprinting version must be equal to or higher than your Qlik Sense version:

Latest  available versions for both are:

Qlik Nprinting: May 2021

QlikSense:  Feb 2022.

So we cannot upgrade our QlikSense to Feb 2022 unless we have Feb 2022 or later version  available in Nprinting?

We can only go for May 2021 version upgrade for both QlikSense and Nprinting?

Qlik NPrinting May 2021 is compatible with the following Qlik Sense versions:

• Minimum supported version is Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows September 2019.

• Maximum supported version is:

  • Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2021 for Qlik NPrinting May 2021 IR and SR1

  • Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows February 2022 for Qlik NPrinting May 2021 SR2 and higher

Qlik NPrinting May 2021 has, right now, an initial release and 3 service releases so we have always to pay attention at the service release we are speaking about because they are different.

You can install Qlik NPrinting May 2021 SR2 and higher (latest at the moment is SR3).

we are looking to upgrade only our QlikSense component to Nov 2021 keeping the Nprinting version to April 2020 to manage and plan upgrade better.  will Nprinting April 2020 supports Nov 2021 or need to upgrade Nprinting first?

I think it's ok, in the Qlik NPrinting April 2020 doc saied QS November 2017 or higher without maximum version.

The following Qlik Sense versions are supported when connecting to Qlik NPrinting. Note that your Qlik NPrinting version must be equal to or higher than your Qlik Sense version:

• Qlik Sense November 2017 or higher.

From https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/April2020/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/System-requir... "Qlik NPrinting version must be equal to or higher than your Qlik Sense version" so no in this case because Qlik NPrinting April 2020 was released before Qlik Sense November 2021. 

From Qlik NPrinting May 2021 SR2 Release notes: 

Qlik Sense November 2021 is supported
Qlik Sense November 2021 is supported starting from this version.
Qlik Sense August 2021 is supported
Qlik Sense August 2021 is supported starting from this version.

If you want to use Qlik Sense November 2021 you have to install Qlik NPrinting Mar 2021 SR2 minimum. SR3 is also supported.

Currently we have :

Qlikview: 12.50 April 2020 SR4

QlikSense: Nov 2020 SR9

Nprinting : April 2020(Version: 20.10.2.0).

we cannot start upgrading all components at once. so the best approach we think is to go for QS Nov 2021 first (as current Nprinting April 2020 will support that) and then upgrade Nprinting and Qlikview component later after successful testing and sign-off.

Did something change in documentation? NPrinting should be always on the same or newer version than Qlik Sense. The only exception is may 2021 versions with SR1, SR2,SR3

i am not saying it will not work, but i am saying it will not be supported officially
