RELOAD TASK IN NPRINTING 17.4. Which one is preferred?

We have Nprinting 17.4 set up and running.

It is connected to qvw hosted in the server.

I know that Nprinting 17 does not have any reload task.

So i have set up a trigger for " reload metadata" everyday which will refresh the data. ( i am not adding any new objects).

I just came across another way where we can edit the setting to enable allow dynamic update in the qlik server.

Will it serve the purpose? which one is ideal to use?

Hi

it depends what type of connection to qvw did you set up in NPrinting connections.

• Local - you will have to use metadata reload to reopen local document and therefore pickup new date
• QVP - you can skip a metadata refresh and use dynamic update.
