Hello,

Why does NPrinting show so many warning messages and "failed report generation" messages and still produces the report? What do these error messages mean? So many of them.

I am new to NPrinting but even my colleagues who know NPrinting more don't know what these error messages are about, whether you should really be worried about them etc.

They are very unhelpful in trying to understand what the error is and how it impracts the report.

Which version of Qlik NPrinting are you using?

If you are using an older version, that could be the cause of the generic warnings as the newer releases have better error reporting, but it would be easier to solve if you can provide the log files?

C:\ProgramData\NPrinting\Logs

At times the Scheduler / Engine logs will show a bit more information.

At this time I can only guess that there are possible unsupported objects / an issue with a filter / etc.

only if you would actually paste a sample of a warning message then we would be able to tell you more.

and as Eva said - ALWAYS start a discussion providing a version of software and configurations you working on.

Warning in general mean that some of entities may not exist in report, or filters may colide (exclude themselves) or maybe filters are not resolving properly. It all depends on message (which you have not provided here yet)

Warning can also indicate that some report condition is not resolving properly or is not resolving to "TRUE" value.

It is also possible that in your filters you are referring to field removed from Qlik data model.

As you can see - there are many options. If your colleagues are experienced in NPrinting they should without problems tell you what the problem is, unless they are actually not experienced 😁😋 ??
